| Summary | Amidst the brutal, frozen landscape of Siberia, Private Kurimoto yearns for the warmth of home, a yearning stoked by the promise of repatriation for the wounded. But this war is a cruel deception. While Japanese soldiers are relentlessly driven against fierce partisans and subjected to unimaginable cold, their American "allies" brazenly flaunt counterfeit currency and win the hearts of local women, their very presence a constant, galling insult.
