Summary Journalist Henry Morton Stanley's life takes an extraordinary turn when his editor assigns him a mission unlike any other: find the legendary explorer David Livingstone, who has vanished without a trace in the heart of Africa. Known as the "Father of the Dark Continent," Livingstone's disappearance sparks global concern, yet many have given up hope. Stanley, however, believes he's alive, transforming a mere assignment into a deeply personal quest. Embarking on a perilous journey into the continent's unexplored interior, Stanley faces scorching deserts, disease-ridden swamps, treacherous natives, and deadly wildlife. Every step is a fight for survival, every day a race against time and the encroaching silence. As his expedition dwindles and hope wanes, Stanley's resolve hardens. He must uncover the truth of Livingstone's fate, before the Dark Continent claims them both.
